Teleshopping    


Ofcom permits non-shopping TV channels to make up to three hours available each day for long-form teleshopping. As these hours are allowed in addition to the channel's normal commercial minutage, teleshopping provides channels with an opportunity to generate significant incremental revenues - at virtually no cost.

Traditionally, long-form teleshopping airtime has been used by a fairly small group of specialist teleshopping companies, many of whom have their own 24-hour home shopping channels on digital television.
